You were either dreaming or half way between awake and asleep, happens to me alot. Don't feel scared when it happens, just remember to 'go back to sleep' in your dream and you'll soon wake up again properly. |

Any chance you have asthma? i do, and i sometimes wake up and feel like i can't inhale, and like there is a fifty pound weight on my chest. In fact, it happened to me last night. It's scary. -asylem_supastar |

I had a similar experience, but without a sharp pain and I was falling asleep. I even posted a story on it (See "Did I just almost OBE? -Super Sonic"). It turns out I was just dozing off. |
